Reason: to be informed of important social issues.
Rebuttal: Some important issues are only to be discuss properly and with the proper authority. This important issues may be sensitive in which it is not appropriate to be debate on.

Reason: to inform insights on social issues.
Rebuttal: Some insights on social issues are mere personal rather than factual. We have our own insights in which we can conclude and accept it as it is and therefore it would be a never ending debate.

Reason:to determine the pros and cons of a given issue.
Rebuttal: All the issues has its own pros and cons. Before the issue has been given, we already have our own insights about it. As a democratic country, we have our own understanding on the issue and as a human being we are free agents in this world therefore we are free to express what we want.

Rebuttal: We can actually talk anything especially social issues anywhere,as long as it is appropriate and accepted by the parties concerned. We should not limit the talking by just debating of the two parties rather.

Rebuttal: the issues presented has already has its own facts. Anything that goes beyond it are new assumptions. So, there is no reason to debate if you only want to know whether it is a fact or assumption.For facts, they are readily available on different sources of information,and for assumptions just ask your big brain if you some..

Rebuttal: How would you really know the concerns of the general public if you yourself does not even give a damn about the issue? First, you must be really concern about the issue and the General Public should be the one addressing their concerns, for they themselves know what they feel.

Rebuttal: ACTION speaks louder than WORDS... Take for example Mr. Bayani Fernando chairman of the MMDA, he has only few words in eradicating those street vendors.. Most often than not, its just a pedant display of talent in Public Speaking.. lol.
